Simon of Cyrene is a historical character who – according to scriptures – was forced to carry Jesus’ cross. He is a person who found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time; a victim of circumstance. This, initially, left him embarrassed, humiliated, angry and even feeling hatred toward those who caused this wrongful encounter.
