A Good Story

A good story can entertain, educate, make us laugh or cry or even call us to action. Shawn Ritchey L.I.V.E. is passionately qualified to accomplish all that and more.  Shawn’s dynamic stage presence will flow from professional theatrical experience -including touring with Taproot Theatre Company for several years.

Shawn’s ability to stay calm and adapt on the spot – rooted in three decades of emergency services work –  compel Shawn to seek to breathe life into any situation he is in.

Finally, Shawn’s deep love for God, and respect for his Word  encourage him to equip and inspire others, through storytelling, so that the message in the story will leave a lasting impression for all who  listen.

Shawn has been a  regular Storyteller at The Lights of Christmas each December at Warm Beach Camp. www.thelightsofchristmas.com

Why Me?  A Story of Simon of Cyrene.

  • The gospel writers share their account of Jesus’ life and death.  But what was it like for others who, first hand, witnessed Jesus being crucified?  Consider a profound perspective from the man who had to carry Jesus’ cross – Simon of Cyrene.  Consider Simon’s embarrassment, anger, humiliation while feeling like he was a victim of circumstance; someone in the wrong place at the wrong time.
  • Due to the subject matter, this monologue piece is NOT intended for younger children.
  • Why Me is performed as a 15 minute soliloquy or can be a companion piece along with The Centurion.
