Are You Willing to Hear God say, “I Want You Back?”
We know, or have learned anew, that providing CPR is affirming value to life since we are mechanically circulating the person's blood while performing chest compressions. Circulating blood is life. So the rescuer/responder is really saying, "I Want You Back."
God, also, is intimately, lovingly, and passionately saying to you and me, "I Want You Back" as we are dead in our sin.
Romans 6:23 says, "The wages (what is owed) of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
King David of old knew this in his heart when he said, "Yahweh, You have brought me up from the dead; You spared me from going down to the pit (Psalm 30:3)." As someone who has provided CPRc, I can tell you David is conforming God brought him back from the dead.
For God so loves you that He provides heart-restoring care through His Son Jesus, so that you may be resuscitated back to life. Indeed a new life (2 Corinthians 5:17). Now learn to live for Yahweh who loves you so.
