Applying a Tourniquet: Demo and Helpful Info.

This video completes a trilogy of videos having to do with tourniquets. This video will demonstrate tourniquet placement.

These videos are part of a larger series describing the first seven essential items in my first aid kit. Number seven were cravats (triangular bandages), number six hemostatic dressings and number five tourniquets. Remember severe blood loss could lead to death in about three minutes. That is faster than most any emergency agencies will respond.

If someone is bleeding severely, your actions before the medics arrive could be the difference between life and death. Knowing about quality direct pressure, hemostatic dressings, tourniquet placement, and the proper use of each should be something you deem as worthy to learn and practice. For all can save a life, and there is value to all human life.
