There is Value to Life. Tourniquets can Save a Life. (Demonstrating the Placement of a Tourniquet)

This video completes a trilogy of videos having to do with tourniquets. This video will demonstrate tourniquet placement. And this tourniquet trilogy is part of a larger series describing the first seven essential items in my first aid kit.

Just to review, number seven was cravats (triangular bandages), number 6 was hemostatic dressings and number 5 are tourniquets.

Remember that severe blood loss could lead to death in about 3 minutes. That is faster than most any EMS agency can respond. If someone is bleeding severely, your actions before the medics arrive could be the difference between life and death. Knowing about quality direct pressure, hemostatic dressings, and tourniquet placement and proper use should be knowledge and skills you deem as invaluable as these can truly save a life; and there is value to all human life.
